		Fox Galleries is a Brisbane-based art gallery focusing on early to mid-career contemporary visual artists. The program includes local artists as well as regional Queensland and interstate artists. Regularly showing at the gallery is a core group of artists. Alongside these shows, artists are invited to exhibit individually or participate in curated group exhibitions, which are quite often tied to publication projects. The gallery was founded by Michael Fox in 1998. Exhibition program The gallery runs the exhibition program on a monthly basis. Exhibitions can be solo or group showings with group exhibitions bearing a strong curatorial focus. Education The gallery is committed to the promotion and publication of Art to inform and educate the community and to foster a broader interest and patronage of the Visual Arts. Fox Galleries has an established reputation as a publisher of artist books that are distributed widely across Australia and are held in libraries, schools and many organisational collections. Management Michael Fox is a professional accountant, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Queensland. He has maintained his own accountancy practicing, which has evolved to assist artists, musicians and entertainers. He also studied Journalism and Educational Philosophy at the University of Queensland, and has been involved in the arts industry since 1990. Yenda Carson is an artist and lecturer in Fine Arts and Education in Brisbane. A graduate from the Queensland College of Art Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology, she has also been involved in the Arts Queensland public art program over the past 10 years. Gallery Statement To assist the careers of visual artists through a coordinated policy of curation, exhibition, publication and other services, which will lead to opportunities for acquisition of their work and the ability to sell their services to the private and public sectors; while at the same time informing and educating the clients of the gallery about movements in contemporary art. In short, to fulfil its duty of care to both the artists and clients of Fox Galleries.
